Forest Therapy for Mindful Dog Caregivers

In our busy, overstimulating world, both we and our dogs can become disconnected — from ourselves, from nature, and from the quiet, nourishing moments that restore our balance.
Forest Therapy offers a gentle, guided way back. It’s not about hiking for miles or ticking off fitness goals. Instead, it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and letting nature hold you — so that you can return to your dog and your life with more calm, clarity, and presence.
What is Forest Therapy?
Rooted in the principles of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) and trauma-informed coaching, my Forest Therapy sessions combine mindful walking, sensory exploration, and simple grounding practices to help you:

-
Release tension and regulate your nervous system
-
Build deeper awareness of your surroundings and yourself
-
Strengthen the quiet, intuitive bond you share with your dog
-
Find moments of joy, wonder, and peace in nature
Each session follows my GROVE process:

-
Grounding – Gentle practices to settle your mind and body
-
Return to Nature – Noticing and connecting with the life around you
-
Open Senses – Awakening sight, sound, touch, smell, and movement
-
Vitalise Energy – Restoring flow through simple, nourishing movement
-
Embody – Integrating the experience so you carry it into daily life
Who is it for?

These sessions are perfect for:
-
Stressed or burned-out dog caregivers needing emotional space
-
People seeking to deepen their connection with the natural world
-
Those feeling disconnected from themselves or their dogs
-
Anyone open to slowing down and experiencing nature in a new way.and letting it heal you.
You don’t need to be a “nature person”. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, whether you feel most comfortable in a park, by a river, or even starting near your car.

How it works

Sessions are 90 minutes and can be booked as one-off experiences or as part of my 6 week Nature Guided Caregiving Program. You’ll receive simple micro-practices to weave into your daily life, helping you maintain the benefits between sessions.

Why it matters for your dog

Dogs feel our energy. When we are grounded and present, they relax more easily, walk more calmly, and feel more understood. Forest Therapy is as much a gift to your dog as it is to you.
