All my life I have been able to see spirit, aura's, have prophetic dreams, see vibrations and frequencies around me and generally seem to have a different experience of life than most. Synesthesia allows me to see people and music is colour and movement which I endeavour to interpret visually.
Synesthesia along with my spirituality and meditation are the basis for my creativity. I use them all to express creatively in ways that I have be unable to previously. Now I feel more comfortable being transparent and sharing my work, and offering it to others. Seems people are really interested in how I see them and the world around me.
It has led me to develop what I now call synesthetic art where I capture something more of a person, and interpret what I see as their essence rather than what they look like. I never know what I will see and I never know what the end result will look like so I trust the process and allow what emerges out of it to be 'right'.
There is a lot of synesthetic art work on my website and instagram pages that you can see https://instagram.com/cathamilton.photography The image below was inspired by a song by Howard Jones called Hide and Seek. It started off as a self portrait and became this.
I love to share my experiences and work and I also love to hear from others. If you are interested in having your own synesthetic art interpretation then please get in touch and we can talk it through. I would love to hear from you.
