Finding Deeper Meaning

Rather than talk about my work, I see every expression of our self as having deeper meaning. I didn't just wake up creative one day. It was been a process, a journey and an exploration of Self that has brought me to where I am today.
Everything that we do says something about us, whether it is conscious or unconscious. How we are perceived is a direct result of how we show up, how we treat others, how authentic we are and what we stand for. Our life and self expression is a combination and culmination of our experiences, beliefs and becomes the essence of who we think we are as humans.
My latest work is an expression of my spirit. The self portraits are my way of saying something and sharing myself in deeper ways that are personal to me but shown abstractly to you so they become more engaging, soulful and have meaning behind them. In the same way as kirlian photography captures the aura I attempt to capture the spirit/soul of a person.
The beauty of life and self expression is that it is constantly changing. Unless you are stuck in old habits and behaviours you can completely change how you are perceived by showing up as who you want to be and not what others want or expect you to be. Our outer expression is continually changing. When we have a strong sense of Self we no longer try to be liked and accepted by others because we have embraced and accepted our Self.
I class myself as being intuitive, considerate, compassionate, and creative. I have a deep sense of Self through meditation and other practices that bring me closer to my soul. I learned a lot about my own psychology through Vipassana meditation which helped me to understand other peoples and allows for a deeper connection to others. Now I express that by exploring the soul/spirit through imagery.

What are you saying to the world about who you are? Do you know how you are perceived? Is it the same as you perceive yourself?
